(Darrick, Barbie, and Atticus)
I decided to write a post to further explain this adoption donation that I've been talking so much about. I figured, if you're all so amazing to buy my book, I can be a little more open about where my heart has been the past few months.
Earlier this year, I finished writing Finding Home in Redemption. I was sitting in my kitchen, staring at my computer, and I felt this need to donate some of the profits to something. Immediately, I thought of my friends, Barbie and Darrick, who have been called to adoption.
I thought of my male main character, who himself is adopted, and I just knew in my heart that that was the path I was going to take. I was going to donate to their adoption fund.
I began to wonder how much I'd give and the answer was loud and clear. God put on my heart '50%,' and that's what I knew I had to do. I had people tell me that was too much, or that I should wait a little while, but I heard God's direction. Plus, more than listening to my heart, I'm excited! I can't wait to see the next addition to this family! To see the baby God places in their arms! My smile is hurting my face, just thinking about it!
If you'd like to learn more about this great family or want to donate directly to them, get in contact with me and I'll point you in the right direction.
Thank you for reading!
